Casey P. | Sales Agent in TN | Trip to Memphis, TN

As one of Elvis’ biggest fans, Casey had to see the place he called home. So, she hopped in the car and headed down the road to Memphis, the site of some of the world’s best barbecue and blues music. After touring Graceland and some of “The King’s” other favorite spots, Angela made sure to sample some of Memphis’ famous food. She recommends getting a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich or stopping by several renowned barbecue destinations before leaving town.

Annie F. | Sales Agent in FL | Trip to Love Valley, NC

Raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Annie has an appreciation for nature, and her ideal vacation destination growing up was somewhere off the beaten path. In her mind, the little town of Love Valley is the perfect hidden gem for those who love the outdoors. It boasts:

  • Horseback rides down beautiful trails
  • Bluegrass music
  • Rodeos
  • Fiddlers conventions
  • Clogging competitions
  • Chili cook-offs

Annie notes the town itself resembles the set of an old western movie, complete with a general store, saloon, blacksmith, and more. So, if you want to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, visit Love Valley for a long weekend.

Claudia M. | Sales Agent in FL | Trip to Tallahassee, FL

Claudia wanted to gain a better understanding of how government operates and see historical landmarks, so she decided to take a trip to Tallahassee. She jumped in the car with the perfect bag of chips (her No. 1 road trip snack) and set off on the journey across the state. She recommends seeing the very things she saw:

  • The Florida State Capitol
  • The Florida Historic Capitol Museum
  • The Knott House Museum

If you live in the Sunshine State, grab some comfy shoes, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, and plenty of water, and get ready to explore Tallahassee’s rich history, downtown area, and local parks.

Laura S. | Regional Sales & Marketing Manager | Wherever the Road Leads

For some people, it’s not the destination that matters; it’s the journey. One of Laura’s favorite road trips is the perfect example of enjoying any time spent away from the stress of everyday life.

A few years ago, she and several friends took what she refers to as a “wandering” road trip. They packed the essentials and some snacks (hello, Hawaiian roll ham sliders) and then started in a general direction. Every few hours, they’d pull up Google maps, close their eyes, and point in a new direction. Once Laura and her friends knew the following location, they’d quickly look up points of interest and try to hit at least one on their way through. They ended up lost a time or two, but the memories and the laughs were well worth it.

As long as you have the right friends, mindset, and snacks, you can have a good time going anywhere.
